A Bit More About Me
Hi there! I’m Divine, a part-time blogger, nursing student, and immigrant calling Toronto, Canada, my home. Since arriving in 2019 with big dreams and a touch of nervousness, I’ve been navigating life in this vibrant city solo—learning, growing, and sharing it all here. This blog is my space to offer tips, stories, and a friendly perspective for anyone exploring life in Canada, whether you’re a newcomer or just curious about the journey. Read More About Me

ToggleMy Immigrant Journey
In summer 2019, I stepped off the plane into Toronto’s bustling embrace, ready for a fresh start. Living alone in this lively city has been a mix of challenges and triumphs—figuring out public transit, adapting to snowy winters, and discovering the joy of a warm Tim Hortons coffee or the nightlife of Treasure Lounge or La Shish . Those experiences shape the practical advice and relatable tales I share here, from settling in to finding your footing in a new country.
Life as a Nursing Student
As a nursing student, I’m passionate about healthcare and excited to contribute to Canada’s amazing medical system. My studies have taught me as much about resilience and balance as they have about patient care—especially while juggling school, full-time job, and blogging! I love weaving those insights into my posts, whether it’s tips for students or reflections on pursuing your goals in a new land.
A Bit More About Me
When I’m not studying or writing, I’m exploring Toronto’s neighborhoods, volunteering with newcomers, or unwinding with a good book. Living solo has made me resourceful—and maybe a little too proud of my cooking skills! Check out my favourite and most read books, TV shows and hubby. About Me

My Canadian Story
As an Ontario resident, I’ve lived the highs and lows of settling into this incredible country. I’ve celebrated landing my first job, mastered the art of layering for -20°C days, and even shed a few tears missing family during the holidays. Through it all, I’ve gained insights I’m eager to share—whether it’s how to tackle Express Entry, where to find the best maple syrup, best of GTA and Afrobeats nightlife or why every Canadian needs a Tim Hortons run in their weekly routine. My goal? To make you feel less alone and more prepared for whatever Canada throws your way. About Me
